The Quality Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and completing broadly defined quality engineering assignments and small projects that support product and process quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction. This role provides technical support across Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Purchasing; uses data-driven methods such as Statistical Process Control (SPC) and structured problem solving to identify and resolve quality issues; and helps ensure customer and contractual requirements are consistently met in a high-mix electronics manufacturing environment. The Quality Engineer also supports quality system effectiveness, internal audits, corrective action, and continuous improvement initiatives at the Ann Arbor, MI facility.
On-site role based at Spectrum Control’s manufacturing facility in Ann Arbor, MI. Combination of office and manufacturing floor environment, with regular interaction with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, inspection, and testing functions. Requires the ability to work effectively in a hands‑on manufacturing setting and respond to quality issues as they arise.
