## Quality EngineerApplylocations: Eastaboga, ALtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: R-28619**JOB DESCRIPTION**## **Key Responsibilities**## **Quality Systems & Compliance**• Ensure compliance with BOS, ISO/TS 16949, IATF requirements, and customespecific standards. • Understand plant and customer KPIs and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet or exceed targets. • Participate in Layered Process Audits (LPA) as required## **Continuous Improvement**• Drive continuous improvement across all production quality deliverables • Support advancement of Operation Description Sheets (ODS) • Identify and apply appropriate statistical tools; mentor team members on their proper use.## **Advanced Quality Planning & Documentation**• Support PPAP preparation and submission • Obtain internal approvals prior to customer submission • Develop and maintain:* Control Plans* PFMEA (with Manufacturing Engineering support)* Inspection and containment plans• Complete all customer-specific Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) requirements.## **Customer Interface & Issue Resolution**• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers regarding quality concerns • Communicate effectively between customers and plant operations • Visit customer sites as needed • Initiate and manage Quality Alerts through closure • Analyze returned materials and ensure root cause identification and corrective action implementation.## **Problem Solving & Corrective Actions**• Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action processes • Prepare and submit 8D reports to customers in a timely manner • Conduct capability studies and ensure compliance with customer and internal requirements## **Supplier & Quality Documentation**• Ensure proper preparation and submission of required documentation, including:* Part Submission Warrant (PSW)* Design records (drawings, specifications, materials)* Process flow diagrams* PFMEA* Control plans* Dimensional results and sample submissions## **Systems & Tools**• Utilize customer-specific systems and reporting tools • Maintain accurate records and documentation for quality processes## Qualifications## Education## • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience## Experience## • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a Quality Engineering or related role • At least 2 years of automotive industry experience required • Seating experience is a strong plus## Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of:## * ## ISO/TS 16949 / IATF standards* ## PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans* ## 8D problem-solving methodology* ## Continuous improvement methodologies## • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage customer relationships## Certifications (Preferred) • Lean Certification • Problem-Solving Certification • Kaizen Certification## Work Schedule • 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 P
