Job summary

Covia is seeking a Quality & EHS Supervisor for our McIntyre, GA site to oversee quality assurance, MSHA safety compliance, and environmental reporting support. You will ensure finished products meet specs, manage COAs, and maintain quality records across lab and production teams.

The role requires working knowledge of MSHA regulations, quality systems, and environmental programs, with a focus on safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement at a small-site facility.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in a technical, environmental, safety, engineering, chemistry, or related field preferred.
• Equivalent industrial or mining experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
• Experience in mining, mineral processing, manufacturing, chemical processing, or industrial operations preferred.
• Working knowledge of MSHA regulations, workplace examinations, training requirements, and compliance documentation preferred.
• Working knowledge of quality systems, laboratory data review, and product specification management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee site quality assurance and quality control processes.
• Review laboratory test results for raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
• Generate and issue Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for customer shipments.
• Maintain quality records, testing documentation, and product traceability.
• Monitor product specifications and investigate quality deviations or customer complaints.
• Coordinate with operations personnel regarding process adjustments necessary to maintain product quality.
