Job summary

Hunter Engineering Company in the United States seeks a Director of Quality to lead the quality management team and drive compliance, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across manufacturing and service operations.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of quality leadership experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, with expertise in ISO, Lean, Six Sigma, and data-driven decision making. Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; master’s degree preferred.
• 7+ years of quality management experience, preferably in manufacturing or a regulated industry.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Proven experience in a quality leadership role, preferably in a regulated industry.
• Strong knowledge of quality systems, standards, and methodologies (e.g., ISO, Lean, Six Sigma).
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and drive data-based decisions.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Detail-oriented and well-organized with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Certifications such as a Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality policies, standards, and systems aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements
• Lead cross functional teams to integrate quality procedures and projects into operations, ensuring alignment with manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and other operational groups
• Make step changes in quality systems, practices, technology and improvements
• Lead improvement efforts from a data driven model to impact internal and external customers.
• Directly and indirectly lead quality professionals and provide guidance, training, and support as needed.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards
• Analyze data and reports to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for enhancement
• Develop and drive plant quality KPIs, monitor performance, and report results and initiatives to senior leadership
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventative action processes to address and triage quality issues on an urgent basis
• Additional duties as assigned
