Job summary

The Timken Company is seeking a Quality Development Engineer in Wadsworth, OH to drive operational excellence. You will lead root cause problem solving for customer returns, non-conforming material evaluation, and production troubleshooting within a team focused on continuous improvement.

The role requires experience with metrology tools, internal auditing, and data-driven problem solving; responsibilities include PPAP/FAIR/CoC events, gage calibration software support, and collaboration with CI

Qualifications

Associate's degree in a STEM field or ASQ CQE certification.
Experience with basic metrology tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) and advanced metrology tools (Bridge, Arm CMM's) including GDT standards.
Experience with Internal Auditing; ability to work in database systems (QIM, Windchill, SAP).
Proficient with MS Office; strong math skills in geometry and statistics.

Responsibilities

Manage non-conforming material procedure and QIM events.
Support root cause investigation of assembly production issues from QIM events.
Perform final and incoming inspection; support inventory containment; cover Rover Arm/CMM inspections as needed.
Support gage calibration software.
Perform internal audits to ISO 9001:2015 standard.
Complete PPAP/FAIR/CoC events in QIM for new product deployment/Safe Launch.
Work with manufacturing and CI Engineering to drive continuous improvement in assembly processes.
Manage reliability engineering by analyzing warranty return data and coordinating with service/engineering.
