Job summary

Global Power Components is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Coordinator to support daily manufacturing operations by ensuring quality documentation, inspection records, calibration systems, and quality processes are maintained and executed effectively.

The role collaborates with Operations, Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to maintain consistent product quality standards. Onsite work in Milwaukee, WI with cross-site coordination and audits as needed.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Quality, Manufacturing Technology, Engineering Technology or related field preferred.
  • Experience in a Quality Control/Quality Assurance or Manufacturing Quality role.
  • Experience performing inspections within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing quality records, document retention, and controlled documentation systems.
  • Experience maintaining calibration programs, calibration records, and measurement equipment.
  • Familiarity with blueprint reading, manufacturing drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Experience working within an ISO 9001 quality management system environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Excel and Word).
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform in-process and final quality inspections of manufactured products and components.
  • Review inspection documentation for completeness and compliance with internal requirements.
  • Maintain and organize quality records, inspection reports and non-conformance documentation.
  • Coordinate document control activities including revisions, distribution, archival, and retrieval of records.
  • Ensure production personnel have access to latest drawings, specs, inspection plans, and quality docs.
  • Manage calibration program for measuring tools and inspection equipment.
  • Coordinate calibration/repair services with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain calibration records and ensure equipment meets scheduled calibration requirements.
  • Assist Quality Engineers and Operations with investigations of quality issues and corrective actions.
  • Track quality concerns and trends to production teams.
  • Support internal audits of documentation, inspections, and records.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering and Quality to improve product quality.
  • Assist with quality-related projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Travel between Milwaukee-area facilities as needed.

Job Overview

Global Power Components is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Coordinator to support daily manufacturing operations by ensuring quality documentation, inspection records, calibration systems, and quality processes are maintained and executed effectively. This position plays a critical role in supporting production teams through document control, quality inspections, gage calibration tracking, corrective action follow-up, and communication of quality requirements across multiple manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing quality environments, possess strong organizational skills, and have the ability to work closely with Operations, Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to maintain consistent product quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Perform and support in-process and final quality inspections of manufactured products and components.
  • Review inspection documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal quality requirements.
  • Maintain and organize quality records, inspection reports, non-conformance documentation, and quality documentation retention systems.
  • Coordinate document control activities, including revision management, distribution, archival, and retrieval of quality records.
  • Ensure production personnel have access to the latest approved drawings, specifications, inspection plans, and work-related quality documentation.
  • Manage and maintain the calibration program for measuring tools, gages, and inspection equipment.
  • Coordinate calibration and repair services with external vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain calibration records and ensure equipment remains in compliance with scheduled calibration requirements.
  • Assist Quality Engineers and Operations teams with investigations of quality issues, defects, and corrective actions.
  • Track and communicate quality concerns, inspection findings, and quality trends to manufacturing teams.
  • Support internal audits of documentation, inspections, and quality records.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality personnel to improve product quality and reduce defects.
  • Assist with quality-related projects and continuous improvement initiatives as assigned.
  • Travel between local Milwaukee‑area facilities as needed to support quality operations.
Required Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Quality, Manufacturing Technology, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent with relevant manufacturing quality experience will be considered.
  • Experience in a Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or Manufacturing Quality role.
  • Experience performing inspections within a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in sheet metal fabrication, welding, paint, machining, electrical assembly, or mechanical assembly environments.
  • Experience using measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and other inspection tools.
  • Understanding of root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
  • Experience with ERP or quality management software systems.
  • Spanish language skills are a plus.
