Mission
Mission and Responsibilities
- Carry out the day-to-day Quality operations for the QHSE department and contribute to the application of effective Quality management by providing technical support.
Responsibilities
General Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Assist in reviews and assessments to support the Quality Management System (QMS) under the direction of the QHSE Manager.
- Assist with root cause investigations under the direction of experienced Quality personnel.
- Maintain relevant Quality logs and documentation.
- Support document control, including reviewing documents for correct formatting, revision, approvals and distribution.
- Assist in the compliance to applicable laws and regulations.
- Track, report and update pertinent Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for the QMS
- Provide assistance and advice on Quality issues to make recommendations to facility management.
- Initiate and perform detailed investigations of Non-conformances (NC) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives for the benefit of product quality
- Assist in the development and presentation of relevant Quality training and audits.
- Ability to work with employees and achieve cultural change in the face of potential resistance.
- Maintain positive and proactive relations with managers and employees, as well as our customers and regulatory agencies.
- Respond to supplier and customer requests for Quality surveys and other requests for Quality-pertinent information.
- Assist with the creation of, revision, and adherence of work instructions, procedures, forms and controlled documents.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Quality documentation and labelling issues internally and for customers
- Perform other work-related tasks as required as assigned.
Facility Specific Responsibilities (but Not Limited To)
- Walk the manufacturing floor on a regular basis to establish Quality presence and provide support.
- Conduct Quality Meetings/Trainings/Audits and schedule as needed.
- Perform facility inspections pertinent to improvement of the processes maintained in the QMS.
- Have knowledge and enforce compliance of QMS requirements of ISO 9001 and AS9100.
- Collaborate with Production and Industrialization teams with the completion of applicable Work Instructions (WI) for processes
- Collaborate with Industrialization and Product Management teams to create and maintain Process Control Documentation (PCD) and facilitate necessary Advanced Change Notices (ACN)
- Perform additional duties as assigned by QHSE Manager
Quality Health Safety Environment (QHSE)
- Apply QHSE rules and propose improvements in pursuit of continuous improvement
- Compliant with safety precautions recommended on site
Skill Requirements
Skills Required for the Job:
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and be computer literate.
- Associate Degree in Occupational, Health & Safety sciences or minimum of 1-year experience in an Environmental, Health and Safety position (preferred)
- Technical writing competency
- ISO 9001 / AS9100 Internal Auditor Trainings (preferred)
