Job description

St. Francis is NOW HIRING for a Quality Coordinator - Sepsis and CMS Core Service Line to be a part of our Hospital Quality Team!

As a Quality Coordinator you will be supporting the Sepsis and CMS Core Service Line, by facilitate coordination of the overall quality and flow of care, safety and infection control practices, and completeness and accuracy of clinical documentation. Through effective communication with physicians, managers, nursing staff, ancillary staff, and other health care team members, the Quality Coordinator will strive to insure that treatment, care planning and clinical decisions are efficient and effective and are being executed and trended to identify opportunities and affect change through direct intervention, through team discussion and review and through working with Leadership to resolve or improve current practices. They will also strive to insure that there is comprehensive medical record documentation that supports the level of care and diagnoses for all inpatients. This role is responsible for auditing and monitoring safety, risk, infection control and quality of care.

Additionally you will:

  • Assists with the development of educational resources and initiatives
  • Quality: Manage trends and outcomes as part of the care management team; assist in patient safety and other operational improvement efforts
  • Tracks and trends specific opportunities for improvement as part of the Patient Safety Culture Initiative
  • Analyzes resource reports and guides facility in improvements based on results

Education:

  • ADN, required; BSN, preferred
  • Licensed RN in the state of Georgia or Compact.

Work Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in a clinical role; Inpatient, ED, Critical Care experience preferred
  • Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work within the established policies, procedures and practicesprescribed by the facility, corporation and the immediate supervisor

  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Must be able towork in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
  • Communication and problem solving skills required
