Job summary

ACCO Engineered Systems is seeking a Quality Control Visual Inspector to oversee visual inspection of mechanical, piping, and welding-related installation activities for high-purity projects, including semiconductor tool hookups and cleanroom piping.

You will verify pipe fit-up, cleanliness, and workmanship, ensure compliance with ASME codes (B31.3, B31.9), and review logs and NCRs. Travel to project sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Current ASNT VT Level II certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in construction or fabrication quality control.
• 1-2 years' experience in cleanroom piping, process utilities, or high-purity/semiconductor projects.
• Ability to meet business Standard Written Practice and Examination requirements and obtain approval.
• Proficiency with OpenSpace for documentation (Desired).

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough visual testing (VT) of welded, brazed, and mechanical joints to ensure integrity.
• Verify pipe fit-up, alignment, cleanliness, and workmanship for high-purity systems.
• Ensure installations comply with ASME piping codes and customer standards.
• Review and maintain fabrication and installation logs (weld maps, fit-up logs, brazing logs, torque records).
• Identify nonconforming workmanship and initiate NCRs via management platforms.
• Participate in pressure tests, walkdowns, punch lists, and pre-turnover verification.
• Inspect material and equipment deliveries to verify they meet specs.
