Job summary

Rentex Audio Visual & Computer Rentals is seeking a dedicated Audio Visual Quality Control Technician to join our warehouse team. The role focuses on testing and ensuring all returned equipment meets our quality standards, while supporting multiple AV disciplines as needed.

Based in a branch warehouse, you will help maintain inventory accuracy, assist other departments, and uphold safety and cleanliness in a fast-paced environment to ensure customer satisfaction and reliable gear for rental

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with professional AV equipment and computer equipment.
• Basic understanding of inventory software for forecasting workload.
• Strong technical skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform Quality Control (QC) procedures on returning equipment.
• Ensure all cases and equipment are presentable and in ideal working condition.
• Diagnose, log, and repair damaged items.
• Organize and store all tested equipment.
• Correctly process missing or damaged equipment.
• Be able to handle hard deadlines and plan workflow depending on client needs.
• Troubleshoot equipment and provide customer support.
• Follow directions of department leaders and managers.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

The Quality Control Technician works primarily in the Quality Control department of a branch warehouse but may be temporarily reassigned to work in any other warehouse department. These short reassignments are dictated by the flow of work and the demands of the business. Employees in this role will help out in all disciplines (audio, video, projection, etc.) of the QC department and must have a general proficiency with basic AV equipment and computers.

Duties/Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

• Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to graduation from high school or a GED
• Experience working with professional audio visual equipment and computer equipment.

• Strong technical skills and the ability to work in a fast paced environment.

This position does not supervise other employees.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are subject to change and may rotate. Needs of the business may dictate long hours and weekend work during high-demand periods.
