Job summary

Rentex Audio Visual & Computer Rentals is seeking an Audio Visual Quality Control Technician to ensure equipment meets our high standards before leaving the warehouse.

You will perform QC on returned gear, log issues, manage firmware where needed, troubleshoot, and collaborate with other departments to maintain top quality and timely service in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with professional AV equipment and computer gear.
• Familiarity with inventory forecasting software.
• Strong technical skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform Quality Control (QC) procedures on returning equipment.
• Ensure all cases and equipment are presentable and in ideal working condition.
• Diagnose, log, and repair damaged items.
• Organize and store all tested equipment.
• Correctly process missing or damaged equipment.
• Be able to handle hard deadlines and plan workflow depending on client needs.
• Provide exceptional customer support for clients.
• Follow direction of the department leader and managers.
• Assist other departments when necessary.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment to ensure safety and compliance.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Manage firmware versions for applicable devices.
• Troubleshoot equipment.

The Quality Control Technician works primarily in the Quality Control department of a branch warehouse but may be temporarily reassigned to work in any other warehouse department. These short reassignments are dictated by the flow of work and the demands of the business. Employees in this role will help out in all disciplines (audio, video, projection, etc.) of the QC department and must have a general proficiency with basic AV equipment and computers.

Physical Demands

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are subject to change and may rotate. Needs of the business necessitate weekend work and may dictate long hours during high-demand periods.
