Job summary

Germfree is seeking a Quality Engineer/Quality Control Technician to manage incoming material inspections, verify conformance to drawings and specs, and support in-process quality checks. You will enter data into Global Shop ERP, maintain inspection records, and help drive continuous improvement in supplier quality.

The role requires reading drawings, GD&T awareness, and strong documentation skills, with travel to vendor sites as needed and a commitment to quality across the supply chain.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret technical drawings including GD&T.
• Use calipers, tape measures, and other basic measuring instruments.
• Maintain accurate inspection records in ERP.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and GDP requirements.
• Experience with NCR/NCMR processes and supplier quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming inspection of all purchased materials, components, parts, and subassemblies upon receipt.
• Verify material certifications, certificates of conformance, and test reports accompanying incoming shipments.
• Inspect incoming assemblies and parts against approved prints, dimensional requirements, and visual acceptance criteria.
• Enter receiving inspection results into the ERP system (Global Shop).
• Identify, tag, and segregate nonconforming materials; initiate Nonconformance Reports (NCMRs).
• Monitor and maintain the receiving inspection area for organization, cleanliness, and proper quarantine segregation.
• Perform in-process inspections at various stages of manufacture against quality criteria.
• Travel to vendor facilities or customer sites for source inspection as needed.
