Job summary

Socket.dev in Indiana is seeking a Quality Control Technician to maintain quality across receiving, in-process, and final inspection and testing.

You will analyze specifications, manage documentation, and work with suppliers and internal teams to ensure only conforming products are shipped.

This role requires physical capability and overtime as needed, and reports to QA Manager and Plant 2 Supervisor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; quality inspection preferred.
• Valid Driver’s license with excellent driving record.
• Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing.
• Ability to listen and act on information from others.
• Proficient with Windows and Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to overtime and flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Analyze specifications and contracts as they pertain to operations steps and product assembly.
• Maintain documentation related to quality policies, procedures and traceability.
• Inspect raw materials for second stage receiving and for conformance.
• Perform first-piece, in-process and finished product inspections.
• Oversee inspection criteria to ensure only conforming product ships.
• Conduct periodic audits of the quality system and address non-conformances.
• Investigate quality problems and recommend changes or improvements.
• Report quality issues to supervisors as needed.
• May lift up to 75 pounds; overtime as required.
