Job summary

Wedgewood Pharmacy is seeking a quality-focused professional to support a sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. You will perform quality control activities, monitor environmental conditions, and assist with batch records and deviation investigations.

The role requires experience in GMP environments, strong data analysis skills in Excel, and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams. The position includes benefits and opportunities for growth, with a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of quality experience in a GMP facility.
  • Experience with sterile injectable products preferred; food or cosmetic manufacturing experience considered.

Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day quality control at a sterile manufacturing facility, including material release, sampling, inspection, and environmental monitoring.
  • Release components, containers, closures, packaging, labeling, in-process materials, and finished products.
  • Sample and inspect materials and finished products per SOPs.
  • Prepare environmental monitoring data and trend reports in Excel.

When will you work?
  • The hours for this position are Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.
What you’ll do:
  • Perform day-to-day quality control activities supporting a sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing facility, including material release, sampling and inspection, environmental monitoring, batch record review, and support of investigations and validation activities.
  • Release components, containers, closures, packaging, labeling, in‑process materials, and finished products.
  • Sample and inspect materials and finished products according to SOPs.
  • Perform environmental monitoring using aseptic gowning and trend data in Excel or equivalent software; prepare quarterly and annual trend reports.
  • Prepare samples for external laboratory analysis and maintain reserve samples.
  • Monitor storage conditions for manufacturing areas, materials, and products.
  • Review batch production, packaging, labeling, environmental monitoring, microbiological, chemical, and in‑process testing records.
  • Identify adverse trends and recommend improvements.
  • Partner with Production and Shipping/Receiving to ensure materials and supplies are qualified, documented, available, and released.
  • Support deviations, non-conforming material, and out-of-specification investigations.
  • Support equipment calibration, equipment/utility/facility validation, and preventive maintenance.
  • Participate in process performance and product quality reviews and support continual improvement.
  • Apply SOPs, forms, cGMP requirements, and operational GMP training to daily quality activities.
Who you are:
  • Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, timeline‑driven environment with shifting priorities.
  • A strong written and verbal communicator who can present data clearly and collaborate across functions.
  • Able to work and make decisions independently while recognizing when to involve others.
  • Meticulous and detail‑oriented, with sound judgment and a consistent focus on product quality.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including intermediate Excel skills such as data entry, charts, and trending.
  • Able to lift up to 55 lbs. and stand for up to two hours when required.
What you’ve done:
  • 1+ years of quality experience in a GMP facility.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience with sterile injectable products in a pharmaceutical environment preferred; food or cosmetic manufacturing experience will also be considered.
