Job summary

Corning in Durham, NC is seeking a Quality Control Technician II to perform biological, chemical, and environmental testing in support of product release, equipment qualification, validation, and process improvement.

You will work under GMP/regulatory guidelines, apply aseptic techniques, manage data, and help drive quality across manufacturing. A BS in Biological Sciences and 2+ years of related lab experience are required.

Qualifications

• BS in Biological Sciences or equivalent in GMP environment.
• 2+ years of related laboratory experience.
• Proficiency in microbiological and cell-based assay techniques.
• Aseptic techniques and contamination prevention practices.
• Knowledge of quality systems regulations (ISO 9001, cGMP, USP).

Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological, cell-based, and chemistry testing to verify quality standards.
• Conduct routine environmental monitoring of water, air, and surfaces.
• Manage sample distribution and documentation with accurate records.
• Enter test results and observations into data systems promptly.
• Support assay validations and equipment qualifications; assist SOP updates.
• Maintain lab cleanliness and inventory of supplies.
