As a Quality Control Technician II, you will perform advanced dimensional inspections and apply GD&T to high-tolerance parts, while mentoring newer technicians and ensuring traceability to AS9100 standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 2–5 years in manufacturing, quality, metrology, or engineering.
• Certified Quality Technician certificate preferred or to be obtained within 180 days of hire.
• Experience operating and programming CMMs and precision measurement tools.
• Advanced blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge is preferred.
• Intermediate knowledge of metrology/gaging and quality tools.
• Knowledge of problem-solving tools (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone Analysis).

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced dimensional inspections on aerospace/defense components using CMMs, height gauges, micrometers, and optical comparators.
• Interpret GD&T to verify conformance to drawings and specifications.
• Read complex blueprints, CAD models, and technical docs to determine inspection requirements.
• Train and mentor new Quality Control Technicians in inspection techniques and equipment.
• Document inspection results in accordance with AS9100 and defense standards.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to resolve nonconformances and recommend corrective actions.
• Support continuous-improvement initiatives to enhance inspection efficiency and accuracy.
• Support responsibilities of Quality Control Technician I, Quality Inspectors, and Quality Engineers.
