Job summary

Timken is seeking a Quality Control Technician Level 1 for 2nd shift to enhance product quality and productivity. You will apply gauge methods, perform inspections, and participate in root-cause investigations while ensuring compliance with procedures and safety standards.

The role requires hands-on use of measuring instruments, data recording, and collaboration with quality teams to resolve non-conformances and support audits. Training will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Proficiency in math and reading and strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow standard procedures and safety rules.
• Ability to interpret readings and use measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety rules and regulations.
• Train and coach new associates to foster a team environment.
• Ensure standard procedures are followed in all aspects of work.
• Monitor parts and assemblies to determine acceptance status.
• Set up gauge equipment and interpret readings.
• Calibrate and recall calibrated measuring equipment.
• Use micrometers, calipers, and other instruments.
• Collaborate with supervisors to correct non-conforming parts.
• Assist with 100% inspection and root-cause investigations.
• Document quality records and support audits.
