Job summary

Frey Consulting Group is seeking a Quality Control Technician in Des Moines to help check materials, products, and production work to ensure they meet company standards. This hands-on role combines inspection, basic testing, documentation, teamwork, and computer work.

No advanced technical background is required; training will be provided. Applicants from all backgrounds are welcome and will receive training and support to become confident in the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous quality control or manufacturing experience is welcome but not required.
• Willingness to learn procedures and quality standards.
• Comfortable using basic tools and a computer.
• Reliable, organized, and able to work well with others.

Responsibilities

• Inspect materials, products, and completed work for quality and consistency.
• Perform basic inspections, measurements, and quality tests using available tools and equipment.
• Compare products with guidelines, samples, specifications, or instructions.
• Record inspection results, measurements, and any issues found.
• Report quality concerns and work with team members to help resolve them.
• Recheck products after corrections to make sure they meet requirements.
• Keep inspection records and other quality documents organized.
• Use a computer for basic data entry, reports, email, and quality records.
• Keep inspection tools clean and report any equipment problems.
