Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure in Houston, TX is seeking a Quality Control Technician to perform routine tests on raw materials, in-process components and finished concrete products in an indoor/outdoor manufacturing setting.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, quality control experience, familiarity with ACI/PCI testing, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs; certification or the ability to obtain ACI Concrete Field Testing within 3 months is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Quality control experience in related industry preferred.
• ACI/PCI Certification preferred, or must pass ACI Concrete Field Testing within 3 months and maintain certification.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily compressive strength testing of hardened concrete specimens.
• Perform daily pre/post pour inspections on products.
• Monitor production operations as required.
• Assist with strip, setup, and pouring of products.
• Report to management on process improvements, repetitive mistakes, and quality concerns.
• Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
