Job summary

County Materials is seeking a Quality Control Technician in Astatula, FL to ensure products meet standards through inspections, tests and measurements across production. You will document findings, identify defects, and coordinate with teams to resolve issues, maintaining consistent product quality.

Ideal candidates bring attention to detail, strong math skills, and effective communication. Experience in concrete or building materials is preferred; PCI Level I certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in the construction and/or building materials industry preferred, not required.
• Concrete plant and/or quality control experience highly desired.
• Ability to interpret shop drawings and job specifications.
• Solid math aptitude.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Preferred PCI Level I certification or the ability to obtain certifications as directed by leadership.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Performs quality control inspections, checks, and tests during production of materials and products.
• Inspects materials, parts, and products at different stages of production.
• Records observations and may make recommendations for improving processes.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the concrete industry.
• Regularly observes the production process, including setup, casting, stripping, and storage of product.
• Work with production to identify and resolve quality issues related to casting and concrete performance.
• Manage housekeeping to ensure a safe workplace.
