Position Summary

The Quality Control Technician / CMM Programmer position is responsible for supporting the execution of quality management systems, procedures, and policies using metrology and physical inspection. Conducts application and analysis testing and inspection of parts to ensure standards are met; uses these to develop, operate, and improve quality control systems. Supports and advises management on all aspects of quality control. The role will serve the operations of Mobis North America Electrified Powertrain, LLC (MNAe).

Essential Functions
  • Develop and implement systems to ensure products meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations.
  • Perform CMM programming for all parts requiring measurement using the CMM machine.
  • Train quality control specialists on the correct operation of CMM machines.
  • Participate in change management processes to ensure product quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across departments, business units, and engineering disciplines.
  • Establish principles for product quality evaluation and control.
  • Provide oversight and review of deliverables throughout program lifecycles.
  • Assist management in developing and revising quality programs.
  • Define and develop quality program indicators, performance metrics, and reporting requirements.
  • Implement inspection plans, FTTQ, in-process, final inspections, sampling, and acceptance criteria.
  • Conduct internal audits to assess compliance with standards and quality systems, including investigation and reporting.
  • Apply problem-solving methodologies to identify, prioritize, communicate, and resolve quality issues.
  • Document impacts from in-process quality issues such as downtime, OS&D, and chargebacks.
  • Provide irregular quality training to workers on process failures, improvements, disassembly/assembly, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
CMM Programmer Responsibilities
  • Program and calibrate the coordinate measuring machine (CMM).
  • Conduct quality control inspections.
  • Write efficient programs to minimize quality issues.
  • Support inspection activities through CMM programming.
  • Train and develop quality staff under the guidance of the QC Manager.
  • Prepare detailed inspection documentation.
  • Investigate causes of dimensional deviations and recommend corrective actions.
  • Perform maintenance on CMM equipment as necessary.
  • Work collaboratively to meet manufacturing deadlines.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Experience: 1+ years in quality control or CMM programming, strong understanding of GD&T, experience with metrology systems (FARO, Keyence, Zeiss, Klingelnberg, Mitutoyo, etc.).

Skills and Abilities: Goal-oriented, customer-focused, results-driven, excellent communication, interpersonal skills, proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Licenses and Registrations: None required.

Working Conditions

Less than 50% of time spent on the manufacturing floor.

Salary

$27.60 - $36.70 per hour
