ADM Nutrition

This is a full time, non-exempt position. This will be a second shift position.

The Quality Control position is responsible for sampling and running tests on the product to ensure that it meets customer specifications.

Essential Job Functions

Performs tests on product from the oven, packing line, blower trucks and railcars.

Records information in Total Lab Client Program (TLC)

Inspects product on start-ups, shutdowns and during problems at extruders.

Inspects oven leg magnet

Inspects and records in TLC any magnet samples or flour samples turned in by employees.

Prepares textured vegetable protein (TVP) formulation reports and sterile sample bags

Completes lab dailies from checklist

Follows all safety, GMP, plant rules and policies

Other duties as assigned by Supervisor and/or Plant Manager

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

The pay range for this position is expected to be between:

$32,500.00 - $59,000.00
