JOB DESCRIPTION: Quality Control (QC) Technician

LOCATION: Bev-Hub Manhattan, 5960 Dry Hop Circle, Manhattan, Ks 66503

REPORTS TO: Quality Manager

CATEGORY: Hourly

TRAVEL: As needed, not more than 20%

MINIMUM SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • 1-year experience in food manufacturing/related field, Quality Inspection
  • Ability to troubleshoot food manufacturing issues that have impacts on:
    • Food Safety
    • Food Quality
    • Food Legality
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Suite of Business Software (Excel, Word, Teams, etc.)
  • Ability to work with, and perform tasks within, an ERP (enterprise resourcing planning) software
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and apply customer product standards to the Bev-Hub process.
  • Ability to use basic laboratory equipment such as pH meter, Refractometer, Densitometer, Total Solids unit and Viscometer by following detailed laboratory procedures.
  • Use of sophisticated Can Double Seam Inspection equipment
  • Use of sophisticated Bottle Cap Inspection equipment
  • Detail oriented with a demonstrable ability to fill out Quality Analysis paperwork
  • Ability to multi-task in high energy fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time (10+ hour shift)
  • Ability to communicate with Production management and staff to address any non-conformance issues that may be encountered.
  • Ability to contribute in cross-functional teams formed to address issues in the facility.

PREFERRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:

  • Preferred: A.S or higher degree in Life Sciences
  • Experience in food manufacturing environment Quality functions
  • Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) Certification
  • Experience with Global Food Safety Initiatives (GFSI) approved Food Safety Scheme
