Elanco is seeking a Quality Control Technician - Animal Care in Winslow, ME. The role focuses on poultry husbandry for chickens and turkeys at the testing facility, with responsibilities including vaccine testing support, animal welfare, and regulatory compliance. Shift is Tue–Sat, 7am–3:30pm, onsite.

Requires a High School Diploma or GED; an Associates degree in animal or biological sciences is preferred. Prior poultry care experience is helpful. FBI background check is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records per USDA, draft/review SOPs, and support animal welfare standards.
• Assist site Veterinarian in auditing testing buildings and procedures and address wellbeing concerns.

This position will actively support/lead activities related with the vaccine testing, maintenance of the testing facilities, and the proper care and welfare of the birds at the testing facility.Shift: Tuesday - Saturday, 7am-3:30pm Your Responsibilities:Lead/assist routine procedures that are involved in the testing of the vaccines and provide appropriate care and husbandry of the animals.Maintain cleanliness of the animal facilities, in a regulatory inspection condition at all times.
