Quality Control Technician - A or B Shift

Apollo Optical Systems is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join our team. As a Quality Control Technician at Apollo Optical you will play a crucial role in upholding our commitment to delivering top-notch products to our valued customers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct thorough inspections and quality checks on incoming raw materials and finished products.
2. Utilize cutting-edge equipment and testing methods to ensure compliance with industry standards.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
4. Maintain accurate records and documentation of quality control processes.
5. Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance overall product quality.
6. Ability to program Zeiss CMM.
7. Perform QC inspections using hand gages, Zeiss CMM, profilometer, interferometer, measuring microscope.
8. Charting.
9. Controlling nonconforming product.
10. Strong communication skills needed to promote problem resolution.
11. Receiving inspections.
12. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Previous inspection experience including optical measurements.
2. Programming Coordinate Measuring Machine (Zeiss CMM Calypso or equivalent) experience required.
3. MS Access experience is a plus.
4. High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in a related field preferred.
5. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to precision.
6. Familiarity with industry-specific quality standards and regulations.
7. Proficiency in using quality control tools and equipment.
8. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
