Job summary

PPG Industries in Brazil, IN is seeking a Quality Control Technician - 2nd Shift to receive samples from production and perform testing per customer specifications. You will document data and approve or reject products based on results, working onsite at the Liquid Production Plant.

This role reports to a Quality Supervisor, with Sunday night through Friday morning schedule from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability, life, 401k, PTO, family leave, continuing

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Chemistry courses helpful
• 1+ year of experience
• Data entry, basic math and reading, and basic computer skills required (Word, Excel, etc)
• Experience with ISO 9001 helpful
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs, sit, stand, bend, twist, kneel

Responsibilities

• Perform various scientific testing to evaluate the quality of in-process materials and finished goods
• Compile, interpret, and document data from the testing process to confirm compliance with established quality standards
• Keep basic laboratory housekeeping
• May be responsible for establishing specifications and writing standard operating procedures

Job description

As a Quality Control Technician - 2nd Shift , you will receive samples from production and perform various testing depending on customer specifications. You will document the data and approve or reject product based on testing results. You will work onsite at our Liquid Production Plant in Brazil, IN and you will report to a Quality Supervisor.

This shift is Sunday night through Friday morning: 11:00 pm to 7:00 am
