Job summary

Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc., makers of Yellawood brand Pressure Treated Pine, is seeking a 2nd shift Quality Control professional. The role focuses on monitoring and documenting quality control measures to ensure product specifications are met across incoming materials, in-process production, and finished lumber samples.

The position is full-time, on-site in Hagerstown, MD, with opportunities to update records, learn the Treating Process, and support daily operations while maintaining

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to perform visual and measurement tests.
• Experience in quality control or manufacturing environment.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Approve incoming materials by testing and rejecting unacceptable items.
• Verify in-process production against specs and communicate adjustments.
• Sample finished products and confirm specifications.
• Identify and segregate products for rework and document results.
• Maintain inspection logs and update reports.
• Keep measurement equipment operating per instructions.
• Support a safe work environment and follow company policies.
• Learn the Treating Process and assist operator.
