Job summary

Rand Aerospace and Defense is seeking a Quality Control Technician to uphold product quality and supervise the production process. You will perform regular inspections, record results, and suggest improvements to ensure all items meet specifications.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, measuring with calipers, gauges, CMMs, and micrometers, and calibrating gauges. Candidates with QC certification and experience with ISO 9000/AS9100 are preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as quality inspector or relevant role.
• A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach.
• Familiarity with quality testing machines and systems.
• Experience with calipers, gauges, CMM and micrometers.
• Thorough knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies.
• Certification of quality control is a strong advantage (ISO 9000, AS9100 etc.).
• Working knowledge of MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and specifications.
• Monitor operations to ensure that they meet production standards.
• Recommend adjustments to the assembly or production process.
• Inspect, test, or measure materials or products being produced.
• Measure products with calipers, gauges, CMM or micrometers, and all other measuring equipment.
• Accept or reject finished items.
• Remove all products and materials that fail to meet specifications.
• Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products.
• Report inspection and test data.
• Resolve quality related issues in a timely manner.
• Performs calibration of gauges and maintains calibration records.
• Learns CMM and other measuring equipment programming.
