Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Rocket Center, West Virginia is seeking a Quality Control Technician 2 to support our growing defense systems operations. You will perform analyses and tests of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products to ensure quality standards and regulatory compliance.

You will also prepare quality statistics, review production records, conduct non-conformance tests, and assist in maintaining test instruments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Ability to work any shift.
• Ability to pass a drug test and background check.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance if necessary.

Responsibilities

• Performs analyses and tests of raw materials, packaging materials, and/or finished products from manufacturing, to ensure quality standards and compliance to customer and regulatory requirements, and tolerance specifications for the chemical or physical property.
• Performs a variety of qualitative tests or qualitative assays on samples, and to aid in maintenance and certification of test instruments and apparatus to ensure compliance.
• Prepares and monitors quality statistics and reports. Reviews production records for conformance to procedures.
• Conducts non-conformance tests of manufactured, packaged, or a tested product.

Primary Level Salary Range: $44,400.00 - $74,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
