Job summary

Qnity is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform routine tests and analyses to support quality control, research, development, or diagnostic activities. This role involves preparing samples, operating equipment, recording results, and ensuring safety and quality standards.

You'll conduct tests such as hardness, tensile, thermal conductivity, viscosity, and density, release incoming materials, and communicate with internal customers about quality issues.

Qualifications

• Experience with quality management systems such as ISO-9001 or IATF 16949 preferred.
• Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in a laboratory testing environment in either Quality Control or Analytical.
• Manage rejected material and MRB activities as required.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Good data collection and analysis skills with strong attention to detail.
• Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
• Able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Perform Receiving, In-process and Final Product Testing
• Conduct laboratory testing including hardness, tensile/compression, thermal conductivity, viscosity, density testing, and other specialized testing
• Release incoming raw materials and finished products
• Communicate with internal customers regarding quality issues and nonconformances
• Collect and record SPC data and prepare reports
• Maintain test records and databases to demonstrate compliance with customer requirements
• Support Process and Quality Engineers with corrective action activities as required
• Test Pilot and Scale Up material batches
• Support the Quality Department’s day-to-day activities

The Laboratory Technician performs routine laboratory tests, analyses, and procedures to support quality control, research, development, or diagnostic activities. The role involves preparing samples, operating laboratory equipment, recording results, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform Receiving, In-process and Final Product Testing
• Conduct laboratory testing including hardness, tensile/compression, thermal conductivity, viscosity, density testing, and other specialized testing

• Maintain test records and databases to demonstrate compliance with customer requirements
• Support Process and Quality Engineers with corrective action activities as required

Requirements

• Experience with either ISO-9001 or IATF 16949 Quality Management Systems preferred
