Position Details

Title / Location: Quality Control Technician I: 3rd Shift / Salisbury, MA

Job Classification: Non-Exempt

Reports To: Quality Control Supervisor

Job Overview

Entry-level QC technician responsible for conducting standard quality control tests and process audits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to all safety policies.
  • Follow current good manufacturing practices as defined in Ovik procedures.
  • Understand and follow good documentation practices.
  • Maintain awareness of ISO 13485 standards.
  • Understand the manufacturing process from start to finish.
  • Perform all QC procedures, checks, and audits.
  • Update QC test results in SAP.
  • Prepare and send QC shift reports.
  • Prepare test samples and operate lab equipment.
  • Handle and dispose of nonconforming products correctly.
  • Conduct analytical tests after training.
  • Record test data and escalate findings appropriately.
Qualifications

Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred: Laboratory experience, medical device manufacturing experience, bilingual (English/Spanish).

Skills
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic math at an 8th-grade level.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Additional Information

Training time: 90 days.

Work environment involves working around moving mechanical parts, with loud noise levels and high temperatures and humidity.

Physical Requirements
  • Standing, sitting, moving, lifting up to 25 lbs, walking stairs, pushing/pulling, bending, visual acuity, and cognitive alertness.
Shift Details

Shift schedule depends on open positions and will be communicated at hire. May include weekends, holidays, and overtime.
