Job summary

AMC Global Media seeks a Quality Control Technician to join the Media Operations & Engineering team in Bethpage, NY. You will ensure metadata accuracy, perform QC on media assets, and collaborate with internal partners.

The role requires hands-on experience in master control and QC, with familiarity in MAM systems and transcoding workflows. A hybrid schedule with partial work‑from‑home is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in QC and broadcast technology is required.

We are currently seeking a Quality Control Technician to join our Media Operations & Engineering team in our Bethpage, NY location.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Communicate:

• Effectively communicate and maintain strong partnerships with internal stakeholders.
• Escalate technical issues to appropriate team members.
• Report any consistent oddities across media assets of similar seasons, series, or suppliers with your teammates.

Analyze and Evaluate:

• Provide full and accurate metadata entries and evaluation of quality control assignments, giving great attention to detail and accuracy
• Adhere to documented department practices
• Complete the expected daily assigned tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS (Required & Preferred)

Required:

• Minimum combined 2 years of experience in Master Control, Quality Control and/or Video Editor
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Quality Control
• Works independently in the absence of supervisor
• Understanding of Broadcast technology, specifically quality control or related functions
• Understanding of QC fundamentals and operating procedures
• Knowledge of Evertz Mediator MAM or equivalent MAM/DAM software.
• Familiarity with third-party software related to MAM/Supply Chain functionality (i.e. Auto QC, time compression, transcoding)
• Experience with digital file codecs/wrappers, transcoding workflows, and bit rates
• Comprehenion of QC rating and reporting system
• Flexible work schedule to accommodate business needs

Preferred:

• Experience with delivering media (high profile content) to SVOD/AVOD services
• Knowledge of distribution routes for premiere programming/live events to SVOD/VOD/AVOD partners
• Comprehension of file delivery workflows from acquisition/receipt to transmission/delivery
• Adaptable to change (e.g., new technologies, changes in procedures, priorities, and workflow).

The base compensation for this position is $55,000 - $60,000 commensurate with experience.
