Job summary

Coreslab Structures in Thomaston, CT, is seeking a Quality Control Technician to perform dimensional checks on concrete products and collaborate with production to correct deficiencies before casting. You will generate legible reports for all tests and ensure materials meet spec.

Proactive inspections and documentation are essential in this role. Responsibilities include post-casting checks, record-keeping, and conducting concrete cylinder tests, with opportunities to pursue ACI/PCI

Qualifications

• High School graduate with technical classes preferred.
• Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes.
• ACI and/or PCI certification or capable of becoming.
• Basic print reading and comprehension.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional checks on product per QC procedure.
• Work with production to correct deficiencies prior to casting.
• Perform concrete tests, generate reports and legible records.
• Perform dimensional checks on product and checks on all raw material components and their location.
• Work with production employees to correct deficiencies prior to casting.
• Post-production checks to ensure all product is cast per specs and labeled correctly before shipment.
• Examine dry finished processes on product for compliance with specifications such as sandblast, water wash, etc.
• Prepare and distribute deficiency or rejection reports when appropriate.
• Conduct other quality and material tests such as rock, sand, etc.
• Perform concrete cylinder compression test.

• Perform concrete test, generate reports, and create legible documents for all product cast
