Job summary

Viking Forge, one of the largest closed-die forging companies in the U.S., is hiring for a quality/inspection role. You will measure processes, record data, and communicate findings to line supervisors to ensure compliance with quality standards.

The position requires no degree, a drug screen, and reliable transportation. You will work on-site in a fast-changing manufacturing environment with a focus on continuous improvement and safety.

Qualifications

• Pass 5-panel drug screen (via staffing company).
• Reliable transportation.
• Must pass 9-panel drug screen upon direct hire.

Responsibilities

• Measure process performance using gages, surface plates, measurement instruments and CMM.
• Record data and document procedures.
• Communicate results to the press line and supervisors.
• Assist supervision in troubleshooting process problems.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas.
• Determine if a process is in statistical control and act on findings.
• Read and follow work instructions and interpret blueprints.

• Measuring process performance using common gages, surface plates, measurement instruments and CMM
• Record data and process necessary documentation
• Communicate to the press line and supervisors
• Assist supervision in troubleshooting process problems
• Clean, organize and maintain work area(s)
• Determine whether a process is in or out of statistical control by analyzing data patterns (runs, trends, hugging, etc) and identify actions to take in response to findings
• Read and follow work instructions
• Read and interpret blueprints

• Ability to pass 5-panel drug screen, urine or saliva through the staffing company
• Reliable Transportation
