Description

HRD is an FAA repair station that has been providing world-class service for over thirty-five years for the Aviation industry. HRD is the industry leader dedicated to the overhaul of aviation safety equipment, including aircraft fire extinguishers, oxygen systems and inflatables as well as outright PMA Part Sales that makes people’s lives safer. As the Quality Control Technician, your primarily responsible for ensuring the proper manufacturing, calibration, maintenance, and repair of tools and equipment used in the repair station. This includes performing inspections, verifying compliance with technical specifications, documenting results, and supporting overall operational efficiency and safety standards of HRD.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine testing & calibration verification to determine if tools and equipment are performing within established ranges.
• Fabricate tools/equipment & perform tool equivalency evaluations for the Engineering department to evaluate for compliance.
• Schedule maintenance repairs, identify and resolve malfunctions, work with outside vendors as appropriate to complete necessary repairs
• Document service reports and other forms in accordance with the work task performed.
• Assist with internal audits and support with developing corrective actions as needed
• May assist with orientation class of new hire onboarding
• Perform various clerical duties and completing miscellaneous projects.
• Assist in department training and or mentorship as necessary.

High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong analytic problem solving and trouble shooting skills
• Strong attention to detail
• 1-2 years Strong mechanical aptitude with demonstrated ability to use a variety of shop tools and equipment.
• Able to read and interpret manuals and drawings
• Able to read and interpret technical documents
• Able to perform basic math skills
• Able to read, write, and understand English
• Basic computer skills, including knowledge of MS office program
