Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine testing on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to verify compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Accurately record test results, observations, calculations, and other laboratory data in appropriate quality records.
  • Identify, document, and communicate out-of-specification or unusual results to supervisor.
  • Assist with root cause investigations and corrective actions for quality issues.
  • Maintain calibration records and ensure inspection equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality policies, customer requirements, and workplace safety procedures.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities related to laboratory procedures, testing methods, product quality, and manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

JOB OVERVIEW:

The Quality Control (QC) Technician supports the chemists and manufacturing team in maintaining and improving the quality, consistency, and performance of Jennchem's chemical and cementitious products used in the mining, tunneling, and underground construction industries. This position performs routine laboratory and quality-control testing, documents test results, assists with investigations of product and raw-material issues, and helps verify products meet established specifications and quality standards.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or a degree in chemistry, materials science, or a related field preferred; equivalent laboratory or manufacturing experience may be considered.
  • 1–2 years of laboratory, quality-control, manufacturing, or related technical experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of chemistry, laboratory practices, measurements, and safe material handling.
  • Basic mathematical skills, including the ability to perform calculations, conversions, and measurements.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and data entry.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
