Job summary

Thalle Construction Co., Inc. in Clayton, NC is seeking a Quality Control Technician to inspect workmanship and materials and ensure compliance with contract plans and specs.

This role supports the project QA/QC program, reviews contract documents, and maintains documentation. The ideal candidate has a civil engineering or construction management background, 1–3 years of heavy civil experience, proficiency with MS Office, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
• 1–3 years of heavy civil construction experience, preferably in dam, reservoir, landfill, wastewater treatment plants required.
• Experience and knowledge of Army Corps of Engineer projects preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Organizational and planning skills.
• Strong oral, consultative and written communication skills.
• Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management.
• Ability to establish trust and interface effectively with Owners and Customers.

Responsibilities

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for full inspection of products and installation to ensure compliance with the contract plans and specifications. This position reports to, collaborates with, and follows the direction of the Quality Control Manager.
