Job summary

TAK Broadband is seeking a Quality Control Technician in Minneapolis, MN to ensure timeliness, completeness and accuracy of field technician work. You will inspect post-install work to verify client specification compliance and ensure proper area restoration.

The role involves documenting with photos, conducting excavations for locate data, and maintaining safety standards. Travel and outdoor work are required, with a comprehensive benefits package offered.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of telecommunications installation or construction experience required.
  • Experience with quality control and verifications.
  • Experience calling in Bluestakes is a plus.
  • Experience with underground locates and the ability to use a compass for directional instructions.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to utilize hand tools for intended purposes.
  • Ability to travel daily around the Chicago metro area and open to a variety of schedules.
  • Excellent customer service, time management, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to learn and operate testing equipment and software/programs.
  • Ability to utilize hand tools, identify wire size/color and accurately utilize measuring devices.
  • Ability to carry, climb, operate, and work upon an extension ladder (approximately 28 feet high and 75 pounds).
  • Ability to complete work indoors, outdoors, in tight spaces and elevated by bending, reaching, twisting, climbing, and working while standing up to 70% of the time.
  • Ability to safely navigate various terrains, managing equipment and tools.
  • A body weight of no more than 275 pounds to perform ladder work safely.
  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record (no suspensions or revocations).
  • Passing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen).

We are seeking a Quality Control Technician to join our team in Minneapolis, MN. In this role you will ensure timeliness, completeness and accuracy of work performed by technicians. You will perform inspections post-install to ensure compliance to client specifications and complete reviews to ensure proper restoration of the area.

The Role

  • Experience with quality control and verifications

  • Basic mechanical aptitude, ability to utilize hand tools for intended purposes
