Job summary

Quikrete Holdings Inc. seeks a Quality Control Technician for our Lubbock, TX plant. You will ensure batching, mixing, and delivery meet project specs and customer expectations, with travel to monitor quality standards and perform testing.

Responsibilities include QC testing on air content, slump, yield and strength, calibrating equipment, sampling raw materials, and communicating results to dispatch and batch personnel. Strong math and communication skills required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of QC experience in construction, industrial, or manufacturing environment.
• Strong organizational and math skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Perform QC tests (air content, slump/workability, coarseness/sandiness, yield, set time, water-cement ratio, strength).
• Calibrate production and testing equipment.
• Sample and test raw materials for specification compliance.
• Record and communicate test results to dispatch, batch personnel, and customers.
• Troubleshoot fresh and hardened concrete to identify quality issues.
