About the job Quality Control Technician

Position Overview:

The Quality Control Technician will be responsible for testing, sampling and inspection within the Quality Department. He or she will be a team player, quick learner and have attention to detail.

Responsibilities of the Quality Control Technician:

  • Testing of food products and raw materials
  • Following strict regulatory and safety guidelines
  • Calibrate instruments and follow GMP’s
  • Assist with internal audits and keep a detailed lab notebook
  • Communicate professionally with the quality team as well as others.
  • Inspect the facility for regulatory compliance
  • Assist the team as needed with sanitation, inventory andhousekeeping

Qualifications for the Quality Control Technician:

  • Experience performing quality testing in a food or beverage company •
  • The ability to think and work independently, do basic math and communicate in a professional manner
  • Knowledge of food regulations like SQF, FSMA or HACCP

Education Requirement:

  • High School Diploma or GED highly preferred • Associate’s or Technical degree in the sciences
