Job summary

Wells is seeking a Quality Technician in Texas to perform pre-pour, post-pour, and final inspections on precast concrete products. You will identify non-conforming materials, ensure PCI, company, and project specifications are met, and maintain QC documentation in a fast-paced facility.

You will read blueprints, use slump cones, air meters, scales, ovens, and sieves, and collaborate with production, engineering, and QC teams to resolve quality issues while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ years of quality control experience on large products.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • ACI or PCI Certified (Preferred).
  • Experience in manufacturing, concrete, construction, or precast environments (Preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Basic math skills and computer proficiency (Microsoft Office).
  • Ability to use measuring and testing tools accurately.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong understanding of safety practices and procedures.

Responsibilities

IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally and frequent bending, climbing, kneeling, twisting, squatting, crawling, and repetitive hand/arm use
  • Capable of standing, walking, and moving throughout the facility for extended shifts of up to 12 hours
  • Comfortable working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, swing stages, and man lifts frequently
  • Ability to work safely in a production or field environment with moderate to high exposure to safety risks and hazards
  • Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions, including wet, hot, humid, and cold weather, and outdoors (Depending on location)
  • Ability to wear all required PPE, including but not limited to safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high visibility vest, hard hat, and other PPE as required by the task, department, or work area.
