Base pay range

$45,000.00/hr - $65,000.00/hr

Fiber Network Services (FNS) is a communications contractor specializing in fiber optic and broadband cable network construction. We have Master Construction Agreements with major providers across multiple states, including Virginia, West Virginia, Tennessee, Ohio, Florida, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Washington D.C., serving as a trusted resource for high-speed internet infrastructure.

FNS is hiring an experienced Quality Control Technician for our Huntington/Culloden, WV location.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform walkouts post-construction and verify as-builts; troubleshoot build-out issues in the field.
• Conduct quality control of all project work.
• Identify safe working conditions in outside right-of-way environments.
• Compile notice-to-proceed (NTP) packages for contractors.
• Scope, plan, and execute HFC projects, manage project lifecycles, pay contractors, and submit final invoices.
• Provide weekly reports on construction activity to management.

Job Qualifications:

• Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in HFC or similar outside network plant construction.
• Experience with walkouts, as-builts, troubleshooting, and quality control.
• Knowledge of local dig laws.
• Strong organizational and project prioritization skills.
• Deep understanding of fiber and coax outside network plants.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools for data management and reporting.
• Willingness to work occasional overtime.
• Ability to walk extensively, sit, stand, and climb stairs throughout the day.
• Valid driver's license, ability to pass drug screening, background check, and DOT physical.
• Education: High School diploma or G.E.D.
