Job summary

Advanced Composites in Sidney, Ohio is hiring a Quality Control Technician to ensure our plastics products meet strict specifications through lab analysis and visual inspections. This role involves working 12-hour rotating shifts on a 2-2-3 schedule, with a night shift from 5:00 PM to 5:30 AM.

You will conduct product testing, calibrate instruments, and document results, while collaborating with production and QC teams to maintain quality and compliance.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Knowledge of plastics test methods and quality systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct product testing, analyze defective samples, and operate lab equipment.
  • Maintain and calibrate instruments while ensuring accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Communicate effectively with production, QC teams, and customers.
  • Perform accurate order entry, processing, and inventory control.
  • Follow safety and environmental policies, supporting compliance with regulations.
  • Identify and report hazards, incidents, and workplace concerns.
  • Maintain cleanliness in work areas for safety and efficiency.
  • Use computer interfaces for documentation and operational tasks.
  • Manage time effectively to meet production and customer needs.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure smooth operations and high satisfaction.

Summary
Work Schedule: 2-2-3 Rotating Schedule NIGHT SHIFT ONLY!!!

This position follows a 12.5-hour rotating 2-2-3 schedule, providing consistent work hours and built-in long weekends.

Night Shift: 5:00 PM - 5:30 AM

  • Week 2: Off Monday & Tuesday, Work Wednesday & Thursday, Off Friday through Sunday
