Job summary

Precision Concrete Construction, Inc. is seeking a Reinforcing Inspector to evaluate reinforcing prior to 3rd party inspections and communicate changes with the crew foreman, ensuring changes align with structural drawings.

The role requires 2 years in construction, ability to read shaping drawings, and willingness to travel, with exposure to a loud, industrial environment and strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 2 years of construction experience.
• Ability to read structural, rebar reinforcing, and PT drawings.
• Be willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Precheck reinforcing/PT before 3rd party inspections and ensure compliance with drawings.
• Communicate with rodbuster subs, 3rd party inspectors & Precision Supervisors.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Follow MSHA & OSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environmental best practices; report problems to the Foreman, Superintendent, Safety Manager, or Human Resources Manager.
• Perform tasks per industry best practices and equipment requirements (lifting, carrying, sitting, walking, climbing).
• Maintain quality of work per design documents.
• Maintain effective communications between the company and the design engineer for timeliness and accuracy.
• Walk and climb ladders and work from heights.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.

Position Description

Evaluate reinforcing prior to 3rd party and inspection and communicate changes with crew Forman, while ensuring changes are made correctly.

Essential Job Functions

Duties include, but will not be limited to.

• Precheck reinforcing/PT prior to 3rd party inspections and make sure they comply with structural drawings.
• Communicate with rodbuster subs, 3rd party inspectors & Precision Supervisors.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Properly follow all company policies and MSHA & OSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environmental best practices. Report any problems to the Foreman, Superintendent, Safety Manager, or Human Resources Manager.
• Perform job tasks in accordance with industry best practices and requirements of the equipment (lifting, carrying, sitting, walking, and climbing)
• Maintains quality of work in accordance with the standards specified in the design documents.
• Maintains effective communications and coordination between the company and the design engineer to ensure timeliness and accuracy.
• Walking and climbing ladders and working from heights
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.

Experience / Requirements

• 2 years of construction experience
• Ability to read structural, rebar reinforcing, and PT drawings
• Be willing to travel out of town
