Southern Point Staffing LLC is seeking a Quality Testing Technician for a paper products site in Albany, GA. You will perform quality checks and measurements in a clean, dry lab environment, supporting the Quality Control department.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic math, data entry accuracy, and familiar with Word and Excel. Steel-toed shoes are required and you may work 12-hour AWS shifts with some holiday coverage.

Job Title: Quality Testing Technician

Department: Quality Control

Reports To: Site Manager

Employment Type: Full time/Shift work

Pay Rate: $14.00

Job Overview: As a Quality Testing Technician, you will perform quality checks and measurements on finished paper products in a clean, nonhazardous, dry lab environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting precise testing and calibration of lab equipment
• Documenting and analyzing results against industry standards
• Ensuring accuracy in data entry and reporting defects
• Maintaining a safe and organized work environment

Qualifications & Skills:

• High school diploma or GED (or relevant experience/training)
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, fractions, decimals, and ruler measurements)
• Ability to follow detailed written and oral instructions
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel) and ability to learn custom data entry systems
• Steel-Toed Work Shoes Required

Additional Requirements:

• Must pass a background check and drug test
• Must be available to work most holidays if scheduled
• Occasional overtime opportunities available

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a Quality Control/Technician setting, at least 1 year
• Prior experience with warehouse safety committees or OSHA training

Work Schedule & Environment:

• AWS Schedule - 12-hour shifts, alternating between 3-4 shifts per week, including every other weekend
• Day/Night Rotations Available - Some positions offer straight night shifts
• Physical Requirements - Standing for extended periods and a 5-10 minute walk from the parking lot to the work area
