Job Summary
As the Quality Control Technician at Belt Power, LLC. you will be responsible for ensuring that products and processes meet quality standards. Inspects products, conducts quality investigations, monitors operations, documents processes and trains employees.
Responsibilities Includes
- Supports quality initiatives and goals.
- Identifies and understands quality as the harmonious balance between production capability and customer expectations.
- Participates in the development and communication of quality standards.
- Enforces quality standards among operations.
- Decides on the disposition of nonconforming products.
- Supports the Quality Manager in developing and refining a comprehensive quality program that pursues company-wide continuous improvement.
- Documents and revises processes and procedures.
- Communicates and resolves quality-related issues with vendors.
- Supports sales with customer quality concerns and issues.
- Participates in process and equipment improvement discussions.
- Implements corrective actions for quality issues as needed.
- Audits operations for adherence to documented processes.
- Identifies operational problems and areas of concern.
- Conducts root-cause analysis of problems and issues corrective actions.
- Trains employees in regard to quality standards.
- Supports and completes continuous-improvement projects.
- Respect, protect, support, company culture.
- Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations; maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition.
- Required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
- Always represent Belt Power in a professional manner
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Thorough knowledge of manufacturing techniques, processes and equipment used in the conveyor belting industry.
- Analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent organization skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively document processes and procedures.
- Ability to assemble and disseminate relevant data for the primary purpose of continuous improvement.
- Occasional travel.
- Appropriate educational competency.
- Work experience in Quality field preferred.

Physical Demands
The Quality Control Technician may lift and / or move up to 50 pounds and will require manual dexterity and strength in arms and feet to manipulate equipment controls. Tools, and other items used to make adjustments and/or minor maintenance. Will use hands, arms, back, and shoulders to handle, installs, position, move items, and manipulate other objects. Could be in a sitting, standing, bending, kneeling, or sitting position for long periods of time.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this position, the Quality Control Technician will be regularly exposed to working near moving and mechanical parts and equipment. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
Position Type And Expected Hours Of Work
This is a full-time position in office, shop, and at the customer site. Typical workdays and hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. Occasional travel, overnight, overtime hours, and weekend work may be required.
Pay Range: $20.00 - $26.00 an hour
