Job summary

Yulista Contract Services LLC is seeking an AH-64 Quality Control Technical Inspector for on-site maintenance flight and functional check flight operations in support of Army testing directives.

Role emphasizes inspection, fault isolation, data documentation and adherence to Yulista QMS processes, including TAMMS-A knowledge and security clearance requirements.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years’ Army Aviation maintenance experience.
  • FAA A&P license required.
  • Must have or can obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
  • Two+ years of experience related to developmental flight testing.

Responsibilities

  • Implements quality control and safety plans to ensure compliance with contract specifications and regulations.
  • Inspects all phases of goods, services, or operations for conformity to quality, health, safety, and standards.
  • Ensure all services listed on the performance requirement summary are performed satisfactorily.
  • Performs scheduled and unscheduled inspections.
  • Documents results of inspections and maintains quality control files.

Job description

Yulista Contract Services LLC Regular Primary Function The AH-64 Quality Control Technical Inspector will be responsible for providing full on-site maintenance flight/functional Check Flight Operations to support the US Army Flight Test Directorate (AFTD at Redstone Arsenal, AL. The support will be conducted in accordance with current Army directives, including but not limited to, AR 95-1 and AR 95-20. Areas for support to be provided include completion of all maintenance test flights on AFTD aircraft, fault isolation and troubleshooting, and management of internal contractor pilot and non-rated crewmember flight records. This is to ensure all aircraft, aircraft component and shop inspections and tasks performed are compliant to Yulista Quality Management System (QMS) processes and procedures as well as all applicable/approved technical data. Perform visual and physical evaluations, testing and control of parts, products and raw materials to ensure conformity to established specifications, applicable standards of quality. Provide technical assistance when needed, to determine the correct course of action to resolve maintenance problems.

Essential Duties
  • The Quality Control/Technical Inspector implements quality control and safety plans to ensure compliance with contract specification and applicable regulations.
  • Inspects all phases of a variety of goods, services or operations for conformity to established quality, health and safety, and other operational standards by performing on-going work for compliance with contractual provisions.
  • Ensure all services listed on the performance requirement summary are performed in a satisfactory manner.
  • Performs scheduled and unscheduled inspections.
  • Communicates deficiencies to proper personnel and follows up when necessary to ensure that corrections are made.
  • Accurately key Data into databases
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Effectively communicate with all levels of management and staff including interactions with other crew members.
  • Perform basic mathematical computations.
  • Accurately and thoroughly documents result of all inspections.
  • Maintains accurate quality control files.
  • Maybe required to perform other additional duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in management, production management, aviation maintenance, professional aeronautics with technical specializations or aviation quality is preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of Army rotary wing and commercial aviation maintenance practices and regulations highly desired.
  • Verifiable experience applying aircraft maintenance techniques and quality control functions to include automated TAMMS-A.
  • A minimum of two years of experience related to developmental flight testing is preferred.
  • Must have verifiable experience applying aircraft maintenance techniques and quality control functions to include automated TAMMS-A.
  • Must possess a level of experience necessary to inspect all aircraft assigned to AFTD.
  • Have graduated from BNOCC (ALC) or equivalent Technical Inspector Course from other services in the Armed Forces

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years’ Army Aviation maintenance experience
  • Must have completed a military aircraft repairer school of any of the following aircraft (AH-64A/D/E).
  • Requires three 3+ years’ Army Aviation maintenance quality control experience.
  • Must have or can have the ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
  • Requires at least two (2) years of experience related to developmental flight testing.
  • FAA A&P License required.
  • Must have working knowledge of ACN, to include all associated historical forms, i.e. 2408-15, 2408-16, 16-1, 2408-17 and DA 2410.
  • Must be able to use Microsoft Office Suite and can learn additional computer skills/software programs.
