Job summary

Knife River - Northern California Aggregate is seeking a site-based QA supervisor responsible for supervising aggregate production quality assurance and testing, including sampling, gradation, and volumetric property determinations. You will maintain the test result database and communicate results to stakeholders.

The role acts as weighmaster, provides aggregate testing training, maintains current certifications, backs up parts running, and ensures safety.

Job description

1. Supervise aggregate production quality assurance and testing process.

2. Conduct Aggregate Testing and Concrete Ready Mix production testing: sampling, aggregate gradation and mixture volumetric property determination where applicable. Maintain test result database including inputting data. Evaluate data for deviations or trends away from acceptable standards. Follow quality control plans or guidelines as assigned. Communicate results to appropriate stakeholders.

3. Act as Weighmaster for the site, following weighing procedures and working with state agencies as required.

4. Provide aggregate testing training for inter/intra company personnel.

5. Maintain current certifications and expand certifications to allow cross-training throughout company.

6. Perform back up parts running as necessary.

7. Maintain confidentiality of aggregate lab and testing reports.

8. Complete and report accurately on timecards and other needed reports.

9. Always work safely and take action to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes, and behaviors.

10. Perform other duties as assigned.
