Job summary

Avid Bioservices in California seeks a Quality Control Supervisor to lead the External Testing Group, directing day-to-day QC activities and ensuring cGMP compliance. The role involves coordinating with client teams, vendors, and internal groups to meet project milestones and quality targets.

You will supervise analysts, drive training, manage documentation, and ensure accurate billing of time and materials while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• GMPs familiarity and regulatory audit experience required.
• Experience writing reports/procedures/specifications and ensuring cGMP compliance.
• Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams and manage projects.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and supervise external/internal testing activities.
• Review and approve purchase requests, invoices and lab submissions.
• Maintain and track shipping, due dates, and sample lot release activities.
• Lead and train QC staff; ensure proper documentation and regulatory compliance.
• Attend client meetings and provide status updates to departments and clients.
• Oversee lab maintenance, temperature monitoring, and 5S housekeeping.
