Fulcrum Technologies, Inc. in Tualatin, Oregon seeks a Quality Control Supervisor to lead the QC team and drive manufacturing excellence. The role focuses on QMS compliance, ISO 9001, and continuous improvement across production processes.

You will oversee audits, MRB, nonconformities, and cross-functional collaboration with Engineering and Design to optimize quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Quality Control with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 standard and certification processes.
• Proficiency in laser tracker systems.
• Proficiency in working with Coordinate Measuring Machines and software (CAM2, Verisurf).
• Strong ability to read and interpret CAD drawings.
• Proficiency with measurement tools and metric/imperial readings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor the Quality Control team, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
• Hire, terminate and make disciplinary decisions as needed.
• Manage labor and resource allocation for efficiency; identify cost-saving opportunities and support budget needs.
• Foster accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement in the department.
• Develop and implement QMS and ISO 9001 compliant policies/procedures.
• Support internal audits for QMS/ISO 9001.
• Oversee MRB processes and disposition of nonconforming materials.
• Record nonconformities with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Lead quality improvement projects with Production and Engineering teams.
• Ensure controlled documents and ISO records are up to date and accessible.
• Comply with safety protocols and participate in training.

We are seeking a Quality Control Supervisor to lead and develop our Quality Control team and ensure that our products meet the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with leadership skills to drive process improvements, maintain compliance, and support the growth of our manufacturing excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and mentor the Quality Control team, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
• Leverage authority in hiring, termination and disciplinary decisions.
• Manage labor, adjust resource allocation for efficiency, identify cost-saving opportunities and propose budget modifications to support operational needs.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the department.
• Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures to increase efficiencies and ensure compliance with company Quality Management System (QMS) and ISO 9001 requirements.
• Perform and support Fulcrum internal audit activities to ensure compliance with QMS and ISO 9001 requirements.
• Oversee and coordinate the processes of a Material Review Board (MRB), which involves reviewing and deciding on the disposition of nonconforming materials
• Maintaining detailed records of each nonconforming item, including the reason for nonconformance, disposition decision, corrective actions taken
• Analyze non-conformities and lead initiatives to address root causes and prevent recurrence.
• Drive quality improvement projects and collaborate with the Production and Engineering & Design teams to enhance manufacturing processes.
• Ensure all controlled documents, including quality inspection reports and ISO-related records, are up to date and properly managed.
• Adhere to and enforce company safety protocols and participate in required training programs.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years in Quality Control, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.

• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

The pay range for this role is:

70,000 - 75,000 USD per year (Tualatin HQ)
